Substance Use and Mental Health Training Opportunities for Disaster Response Management (STORM)

Mental Health First Aid — Adult (MHFA)

Train the Trainer

This training prepares individuals to become trainers of the Mental Health First Aid-Adult workshop. MHFA teaches members of the public how to help an adult who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid does not teach people to treat or diagnose mental health or substance use conditions. Instead, the training teaches people how to offer initial support until appropriate professional help is received or until the crisis resolves.

By clicking “enroll,” you will be applying to be a participant in the workshop. In order for your registration to be complete after clicking the “enroll” button, you must submit an application online. Detailed instructions will be emailed.
